Barbara is an award-winning designer with an expansive background that encompasses high-end luxury clients
and mass marketers, consumer and business-to-business, commercial and editorial, covering virtually every product category and medium. Among these are many top retailers and direct marketers, including FAO Schwarz, Dean & Deluca, Madame Alexander Dolls, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bloomingdale’s, Target, Porsche, A&E Television Network, The Hemmeter Collection, William Secord Gallery, Talbot’s, the ASPCA, Cash’s of Ireland, Rosenthal China, Carl Schurz Park Conservancy, In The Company of Dogs, Joseph A. Bank Clothier, Gilda’s Club, Ghurka, Clinique
and many, many more.Barbara’s editorial work for many outstanding national and regional magazines, including L’Officiel/USA, Seventeen, Ladies Home Journal, Victoria, Texas Homes, D-Magazine and Healthy Aging gives her commercial designs added dimension and richness. Her editorial work has gained her in-depth experience in fashion, both women and men, food, beauty, home, garden and children.
Her work has received award recognition from the Society of Publication Designers, The Art Directors Club of New York, The Retail Ad Conference and Catalog Age. She has been a guest lecturer on editorial and catalog design at several schools, including the publishing program at Rice University.
Barbara earned her BFA at Boston University School of Art. She resides in Manhattan with her family and their Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers, Scout and Parker.
